Elephant Nature Park

Jokia's story

Home

Elephant Nature Park is a unique project set in Chiang Mai province, Northern Thailand. Established in 1990's the aim has always been to provide a sanctuary and rescue centre for elephants.

We visited the Elephant Nature Park on our recent Giving Back tour and all of us were captivated by this amazing place. Once the rescued elephant arrives at this place they roam freely and safely for the rest of their lives. Volunteers come in and help with food preparation for day and overnight guests as well as clean up after the elephants and help with any projects required at the Park.

Travel with Me has sponsored Jokia who has been at the park since 1999. She is a beautiful elephant that had suffered terrible abuse before she was rescued and bought to the Park.
