Hello my name is Annette Porter and I am addicted to Travel!! I first knew I had a problem when I left Australia in the early 90’ and came home six years later. I spent the best part of the early 90’s as a Tour Guide for 18 to 35’s and as such have taken tours all over Europe including, Russia and Scandinavia. This started my addiction to travel so much so that when I returned in 1996 I started a new career as a Travel Consultant to help other people realize their own travel dreams.
With all my knowledge and personal travel experience I moved quickly into Management and Training Roles for a large Multinational Travel Group – with great success - and for the past 6 years have owned my own Travel Agency, Harvey World Travel Belmont.
My favourite life experience to date was living and working in Japan for 2 years where I was able to learn about the Japanese culture and learn the Japanese language. I returned to Australia and worked as a tour guide looking after inbound Japanese Tourists where I then had the pleasure of showing them our culture.
My dream holiday is to drive a convertible through Tuscany with friends dropping in at the vineyards along the way sampling the best olives, bread, cheeses and wine.

I’m Natalie & am very excited to be working with Annette and Kitty at Travel with Me as I know there are so many people out there who would love to travel and don’t have someone to go with. As with many of you this has been my situation over the years several times. Sometimes because I was single, sometimes because my family and friends were busy or didn’t want to go to the same places as me or sometimes just because I wanted to go and meet new people. I have never let not having someone (or the right person) to go with stop me!
I have spent the past 18 years working and travelling in different parts of Australia and the world. I have worked in the USA, Canada, the UK, Arctic Finland and Australia. I have traveled to all 7 continents and lost count of the number of countries I have visited. I have taken trains, buses, cruised, hiked and driven vast distances.
14 years ago I turned my love of travel into a career and as a result someone dear to me recently said ‘travel defines who you are’. It is a huge part of my life, it is my hobby, my job & my passion. I love to share my experiences with others & look forward to sharing some of them with you! Of course I have not ticked of everything on my list, in fact it keeps on growing as I learn more and more about the incredible world we live in.

Originally from Seattle, Washington, I started my travel career shortly after I moved to Australia in 2003 and have worked in both retail and corporate travel. I thought, if you love travel, why not make a career out of it?
My love affair with travel began much before this when I was 18 and travelled to Russia on a High School Exchange program. Upon my return I realized I had been bitten by the travel bug! Since then I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to some amazing places in the World. From backpacking through England, France and Spain, crossing the Siberian terrain by train, watching cherry blossoms bloom from my Ryokan window in Japan, to trying a Sheesha and drinking expensive champagne from the Park Hyatt balcony overlooking Dubai Creek, I have travelled in all styles! I have recently had my first baby and my new little family have already travelled to Hawaii and the west coast of America. Not even 1 year old yet and already a seasoned traveller!
